Greek Drama

As I noted yesterday at weeklystandard.com, the New York Times story on the Tick Tock Diner murder plot is stunning. According to prosecutors, Georgios Spyropoulos hatched a plan to torture his uncle into opening a safe and then murdering him with the aid of a hitman who turned out to be an informant. Times reporter Kate Zernike noted that the diner served traditional fare, including disco fries, which she describes as “smothered in brown gravy and mozzarella.” But I’ve had this with melted American cheese, too. How intriguing!
