Seventh Place Finish

Sadly, Team USA finished seventh in this year’s Bocuse d’Or. Despite months of preparation and drilling, American chef Richard Rosendale and his commis Corey Siegel failed to medal as France took first place, followed by Denmark and Japan. It’s hard to imagine the United States has yet to medal in these culinary Olympics, what with a team of all-star advisers including Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Gavin Kaysen, and Grant Achatz. (Incidentally, the components for this year’s competition were turbot, European blue lobster, and Irish beef.)

The next Bocuse d’Or will be in 2015.
