Yet another vacation for the blog before hunkering down for the election season, which begins in earnest with next month’s conventions. Alas, I will not be reviewing food in Charlotte or Tampa (no Charlotte barbecue, no Tampa … fried gator?), but there should be plenty to eat and drink and read around here.
As for my trip, once again to the Garden and Nutmeg states, I’ll be aiming for boardwalk zeppolis in Jersey and seriously good clams from the Clam Castle in Madison, CT—the latter lunch I’ll be sharing with chef Jacques Pepin, who lives nearby.
