For those of you in the D.C. area, hold that thought—on Sunday night I will be discussing this very subject and specifically our national love of vodka at a gathering known as Table Tribes along with Derek Brown, Ricardo Sandoval Palos, and Garrett Peck. It’s from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Room & Board on 14th Street, NW. There are a few tickets still available to this very casual and free-flowing discussion that will include food and drink. And for some reason each guest is supposed to drop his car keys in a fishbowl near the entrance. No idea what that’s about, but I hear there’ll be fun and games! (Okay, I’m kidding about they keys.
